Daredevil office workers take zip wire challenge over at Chiswick Park, West London

Chiswick Park Enjoy-Work is helping to put a smile on faces of its guests and employees at their West London business community with its regular events strategy.

However, even for a work community used to events and perks designed to make work fun, last week saw a whole new challenge.

The latest event saw office workers braving a a giant 300 metre zip wire, running the entire length of the park, giving office workers the opportunity to throw themselves off the top off Building 7, whizzing across the estate reaching speeds of 70mph!

Designed by Lord Rogers, Chiswick Park is home to 45 of the world’s best known brands; Danone, Ericsson, Foxtons, Paramount Pictures, Pepsico, Starbucks, and the Walt Disney Company among others – and the location is known for opportunities to play as well as work.

A spokesman for the estate management team explained that creating and maintaining an innovative work environment is part of the park’s intrinsic Enjoy-Work brand. They said:

“The philosophy behind Enjoy-Work is that if people enjoy their work, they do better work.  We deliver a programme of events and services aimed at helping improve business productivity by inspiring workers and guests and giving them new experiences.

“Workers at Chiswick Park the 9,000-strong business hub were given the opportunity to fly along a zip wire as part of their working day.

However, it’s not a one off.  Everything about Chiswick Park,  from the landscaped gardens and lake through the sports pitches and exciting events programme is designed to promote happiness and wellbeing at work.”
