Awards for promoting personal safety for workers

Suzy Lamplugh Trust, in partnership with Peoplesafe, is calling for nominations for the National Personal Safety Awards. These awards recognise people or groups who have promoted personal safety in an exceptional way.

Rachel Griffin, Director of Suzy Lamplugh Trust, said: “The awards are a fantastic way to highlight good practice across all sectors and to recognise the hard work of various individuals and agencies that promote and ensure personal safety. We have always been inspired by the breadth and depth of the different projects nominated for awards, all of which are making communities and workplaces safer places.”

The deadline for nominations is 5pm on 9th February 2017. Awards will be given in nine categories.  The full list of awards and a nomination form is available on the Trust’s website.

Peoplesafe have sponsored this year’s awards. Ian Johannessen, Peoplesafe Managing Director, said, “The Personal Safety Awards are really important and have a vital role to play – we are seeking to recognise those people for whom Personal Safety is a passion beyond mere words and job function. In 2016 it was brilliant to see the breadth of people, places and situations where personal safety activities are making a real difference to the attitudes and lives of so many. I greatly encourage anyone who has a sense of commitment to Personal Safety to get involved.”

The awards will be presented in London on 23rd March 2016.
