Side hustle dream job: You can now earn £1k to advertise from your window

With the cost of living increasing at a rapid rate[1], we can expect that more Brits will be looking to find new and nifty ways to make some extra cash to increase their streams of income. Not only this, but the pandemic has also resulted in greater flexibility in work schedules and opened up new ways of thinking about money.

In a recent study by 247 Blinds polling 2,000 Brits, 1 in 3 were found to currently have a side hustle. Of those that don’t, 38% said they have considered starting one since the start of the pandemic two years ago.

Investigating the motivations behind starting one, the research highlighted that for most people, reducing financial stress was a key consideration for both men and women[2]. Other findings revealed some divisions between the genders, with 30% of men using a side hustle to make money for investments and 27% using it to fund a hobby.

As for women, key considerations included saving up for a holiday (32%) and the ability to provide necessities, including food (26%). With the rising cost of food due to inflation, it’s likely that this will only increase.

To help support this ‘side hustle’ culture, 247 Blinds is offering three lucky people the chance to earn £1,000 simply by displaying advertising in their homes. Three applicants will get paid to use their window as advertising space for 247 Blinds by demonstrating the world’s first ‘at home billboard’.

What does the job role look like?

Applicants will be asked to display a roller blind which will feature the 247 Blinds logo on the back of the blind, enabling passers by to see the ‘billboard blind’ from the street. Three successful applicants will need to have their blinds roller down for a minimum of 12 hours a day over four weeks. It really is that simple!

How to apply

In order to apply, you must be willing to display the roller blind billboard for the required amount of days. You can apply here until 24th May when applications close.
